ICON illustrations - Lloyd's Register Foundation

About the client

The Lloyd's Register Foundation International Consortium of Nanotechnologies (ICON) is a global network focussed on addressing the challenges raised in the Foresight Review of Nanotechnologies to enhance safety. The global network comprises of world-leading academics, industrialists, and students.

The Programme Management Board have approved the funding of 51 PhD studentships across a range of themes from sensors, smart materials, energy, storage and computing and communications.

The Programme Management team of the Foundation reached out to us in order to create 52 illustrations for the programmes they fund worldwide.

We designed an explanatory illustration for each project, that the ICON marketing team would use for the promotion of the projects via various online media, and then produced a deck of playing cards as a promotional gift in conferences and events.
