An indicative list of your day-to-day tasks and responsibilities include:

• Create web applications using C#, ASP.Net, MVC, Ajax, JavaScript, MS SQL Server.
• Create dynamic websites based on the Umbraco CMS.
• Create e-commerce websites using our in-house Umbraco-based ecommerce solution.
• Create and consume REST APIs and Web Services.
• Experiment with new technology (languages, frameworks, tools, preprocessors, etc.).
• Share your knowledge with the rest of the team.

We are looking for an ASP.NET developer, but we also welcome candidates with a background in Java (Spring Boot) or PHP (Laravel/Symfony). With support from experienced colleagues, you’ll be able to transition smoothly and quickly into the role.

At least 2 years of experience in similar position or proven skills.

ASP.Net / C# / Razor  (or Java Spring Boot / PHP Laravel)

You must be able to write quality code with ASP.Net, C#, Razor. A good knowledge of Visual Studio is necessary.

A good understanding of model binding and JSON/XML serialization is essential for the efficient implementation of AJAX based functionality.

Deep comprehension of object oriented programming, common design patterns and IoC principles is a huge plus.

SQL (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySql, SQLite)

You must be able to design databases and perform queries against them.

Experience with plain ADO and ORMs is necessary. 

HTML5 / CSS3 

HTML authoring and animations is primarily the responsibility of the front-end team. However, you must be able to create a simple webpage using clean and responsive HTML5 / CSS3 and adjust existing HTML code to implement certain functionality (e.g. add an extra field in a form).

A good knowledge of CSS media queries and Bootstrap is necessary. 

Experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS) is considered a plus.

Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and tools (WCAG, ARIA) is also useful.

JavaScript

Strong JavaScript skills are required. 

Using vanilla JavaScript, jQuery or more modern JavaScript frameworks, you must be able to:

• manipulate the DOM
• attach event handlers
• use third party libraries and plugins (sliders, galleries, etc.)
• perform AJAX requests and handle the response

Familiarity with TypeScript and React is considered a plus.

Source Control

We use Git in order to share and merge the code of our projects. Previous experience with Git will help you get onboard faster. 

Language 

Fluent use of English for speaking and writing is required.
